Chainalysis Teams Up With Deloitte To Surveil the Blockchain

Chainanalysis and accounting giant Deloitte have partnered up to help governments with blockchain surveillance. Announced during the Chainalysis Trace DC event, the alliance aims to provide collaborative solutions that identify transformation gaps in order to increase mission success at enterprise scale while mitigating risk and increasing revenue for law enforcement agencies, regulators, and financial ecosystem players around the country.

Objectives of Partnership

The partnership targets government agencies facing hurdles in fighting crypto-related crimes by helping them investigate obfuscation techniques like chain-hopping, mixers, and decentralized finance (DeFi), as well as illicit use of non-fungible tokens (NFTs), tokens, and stablecoins. The team-up also follows money both from fiat to crypto (and vice versa) in order to identify potential money laundering activities.

Providing Solutions

Chainalysis will work with Deloitte’s blockchain and digital asset practice across cryptocurrency and digital asset risk, analytics, investigation, anti-money laundering/know your customer (AML/KYC), and regulatory compliance.
